Unknowing

Emotions confuse my mind
and I realise such their bind
that myself I no longer trust.

Usually with feeling I’m not fussed.

But consequences now overrule
my thinking such I’m a fool.

Never before must I somehow defend
feeling upon myself I can’t depend.

Given choice, what do I want?

A home run, or not, or just bunt?

Love and hate so oddly coincide.

My heart gives mind a wild ride.
I wish I could just easily decide.
