Richer in Soul

Even when rainbows light your path,
you may feel you need a long bath
to be cleansed of everyday confusion
lingering from life’s common delusion.
Most everyone believes that no control
can be had over the impact of the whole...
the whole scene of being, and seeing
that every moment from spirit is fleeing.

Every time we ignore our deep wisdom,
we lose sight of the things to come.
We lose awareness of what might be
if we have will to set spirit free.
If we remember to count everything,
even the simplest truths make us sing.
Even just knowing we were heard
can make our mind soar like a bird
to higher realms of reality we create.
And there is no reason we must wait.

Everything that spirit needs is there,
all wrapped up in reasons why we care
for the special moments of new living
when we know strength we are giving
to Heart.
Just a part,
but the start.

Each of us is richer in soul than we know,
for we all have countless things to show.
We have gathered experiences like rain,
and filed them in joy, knowledge, or pain.
Our memory is such a powerful force...
and yet we take it for granted, of course,
but it contains the key to enlightenment.
The keys to the reasons why we were sent
into a life full of so many complications.
And this means more than keeping elation,
it means gathering the whole together.
It means staying whole despite any weather.

So take the bath and ignore confusion,
regret, deceit, jealousy, and delusion.
Don’t forget, just find inner balance
with the feelings that make you dance.
Keep the whole in mind, pull it out
of the quagmire caused by self doubt
and look at the shining, glorious whole.
That way, living will take less toll
upon the spirit that we all surely need.
Your own wisdom you should gently heed.
