Love One Flower Focus
Perhaps a bright buzzing bee,
as it hops flower to new flower,
should show a lesson to me...
but it would lessen my power
to seek no permanent source
for sustenance and for delight.
There is a real spiritual force
in trying to do only what's right.
Unlike bees, we gather alone
what sins for which graces atone
and all feelings go deep as bone.
One must be careful what to condone.
We are part of nature, of course,
and thus have the basic instincts,
but to decipher psyche's morse
one must avoid randomness' jinx.
Upon only one flower can we focus.
If one's heart get adventurous
there is no emotion hocus-pocus
saving it from what's injurious.
Soul is singular, as is heart,
unlike the dualities of vision.
So spirit has a place to start
character must make a decision.
With knowing comes commitment...
the capacities to keep striving
need what energies can be lent
feeling one's soul is thriving.
Not for dogma nor any rules
is such principle so learned
it's kept in the face of fools...
but rather so growth's not spurned.
And finding love's somehow earned
by focus... not by what's yearned.
