For(e)ward!

There was to be no explanation for this volume of poetry, but a few notes are needed anyway. It was not my intention to give any profile of the situations that evoked this verse, but one thing should be obvious... I have spent years seeking good relationships, even with myself.

These poems are a few attempts to communicate related ideas.  If this volume had been published in paper, the working title was "Romancing Myself - Heresies of Heart". (There was a dedication _, but it's gone... you know who you are having these originals.)

What might be said about relationships has filled thousands of volumes over the centuries, and yet there are no simple answers.

Everyone is different. Yet when two people form a bond based on love and honesty, with self-awareness, and a willingness to give 110%, it can work.

One of the most wonderful things I experience is seeing elderly couples still in love after years and years of being together.

It is my hope that these verses will evoke thought, perhaps discussion... or at least enough curiosity for readers to find aspects with which they identify.

In so doing, it is my hope to promote not the frustrations, not the glossy sass of bitter experience, nor self-righteousness, but HOPE.

It is the ideal that keeps love alive.

Only regard for what's best, believing it still possible for any of us, will keep us looking for, and appreciating, LOVE.

Please enjoy.
